Information we process

We process account details, restaurant searches, trip plans, saved places, selected locations, booking reports, personal labels and notes, and feedback. This includes the restaurants, dates, meals, and party sizes you watch, changes to your watches, and your alert history, including message contents and read status in the app. We also process technical data such as browser information, IP addresses, and service usage records. We use this information to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Orion Chime Dining.

We use Google’s Firebase Authentication for sign in with Google or an email address and password. We receive your account identifier, email address, verification status, and profile details. Dining and Orion Chime use the same sign in service.

Email alerts

We use SendGrid to send email alerts. It receives your email address and message contents. We record delivery, failed delivery, and unsubscribe information to manage email delivery and your preferences. Dining does not track email opens or clicks. To stop all Dining alert emails, use the unsubscribe link in an alert and confirm. You can also pause or end individual watches, or contact support for help.

Watches, history, and retention

We retain account and alert data while needed to provide the Service and for a reasonable period afterward. Retention depends on the data type, legal obligations, dispute and fraud-prevention needs, security, backups, and whether records must demonstrate a transaction or consent. Billing, refund, dispute, and Terms-acceptance records may be retained after account closure when required for accounting, legal, audit, or fraud-prevention purposes. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed.

You can remove watches, trips and saved items in the app, or ask us to delete your account.

Service analytics

We use your account identifier, search text, and activity such as searches, watch actions, and booking clicks to operate and improve the service. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising. Retention is described under “Watches, history, and retention.”

Browser storage

We use browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences and consent choices, and support features such as recent places and searches. Stored information may include account and device identifiers and data used by the app. You can clear this data through your browser settings, which may sign you out or reset preferences. Dining does not set advertising cookies.

Feedback

When you submit feedback, we collect your message, its category, an optional reply email, and information about the page and app version you used. We use this information to review feedback and improve the service. Include only information you want to share. For a request about feedback submitted without an account, please identify the submission so we can find it.

Google Maps Platform

We use Google Maps Platform for place search, ratings, and travel times. When you use these features, relevant search text, selected places and locations, travel mode, and departure time may be sent to Google to provide the results. Google handles information under the Google Privacy Policy.

Sharing and storage location

We share information with service providers as needed to operate the service, including Google/Firebase for sign in, SendGrid for email, Google Maps Platform for place search, ratings, and travel times, and providers that host and support the service. We may also share information when required by law. When you follow a booking link, the restaurant or platform handles your visit under its own privacy policy. Account data is stored in the United States and Canada, and information may be processed outside your country.

Your choices and requests

You can edit or remove trip places, labels, notes, watches, and saved items in the app. Ending or removing a watch stops it but does not automatically erase its history. To request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information or your account, email support@orionchime.com. We may need to verify your identity. Some records may be kept or have identifying details removed for security or legal reasons, as described under “Watches, history, and retention.”

Security, changes, and contact

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure. We may update this policy and will post material changes here with a new effective date. Privacy questions or requests: support@orionchime.com.
